You need heat that hits the mark the second you flip the switch and can keep up when the line speed shifts. That’s where short wave quartz IR lamps come in. They don’t waste time heating up the air around the glass; they just beam the heat directly into the material. Why it actually works Here is the secret: short wave IR hits a very specific frequency that glass just loves to absorb. While other heaters take their time, these lamps hit full blast in milliseconds. We build them with high-purity quartz because the thermal stress of jumping from cold to hot is brutal.
