Let’s be honest: bathrooms are a nightmare for electronics. Between the thick steam from a hot shower and the occasional splash of water, it’s basically a torture chamber for heating elements. Most heaters just can’t take it. They corrode, the filaments snap, and suddenly you’re staring at a dead mirror. That’s why we built our infrared heaters to actually survive the humidity. The trick to a clear mirror You know that annoying fog that happens the second you step out of the shower? It happens because warm, wet air hits a cold piece of glass. Simple physics. Instead of using some chemical spray that rubs off after a month, we just keep the glass warm. Our infrared emitter puts out a gentle, targeted heat that keeps the mirror temperature above the “dew point.” Basically, if the glass isn’t cold, the fog can’t stick. You get a crystal-clear reflection the moment you need it. Keeping the water out Water and electricity don’t mix. Period. If a single drop leaks into the wiring or hits the quartz tube, the whole thing is toast. To stop that from happening, we leaned heavily into high-grade gaskets and tight seals. We spent a lot of time obsessing over the wiring entry points because that’s usually where the leaks start. By sealing everything up tight, we keep the guts of the machine dry and safe from corrosion. Dealing with the heat There is a catch, though. When you flip a heater on and off quickly, the materials expand and shrink. If you use cheap parts, the seals will just crack. We use materials that move at the same rate, so the seal stays intact no matter how often you use it. One thing to keep in mind: because these seals are so tight, they trap some of the heat inside. This means the outer frame might feel a bit warmer than a cheap, open-air heater. Just make sure your mounting surface can handle a bit of warmth and that there’s a little breathing room around the unit. A bit of ventilation goes a long way in keeping the electronics happy and your mirror backing safe.
